Thank You Volunteers

The GPVSB would like to thank all the volunteers who assisted at this year’s Grande Prairie International Street Performers Festival. Without volunteers the festival would not be possible. Stay tuned to our Volunteers of the Week, as we recognize amazing individuals who helped out at the festival in the next few weeks.

Tim Hortons Volunteers of the Week

Corrie Funk

Challengers Baseball nominates Corrie Funk for Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Corrie has run special needs baseball for the last 6 years. In every aspect of her life Corrie goes above and beyond, whether it’s with her kids, her job working at the QEII hospital, or volunteering with multiple special needs organizations.’

Corrie was also nominated this week by Wolverines Wheelchair Sports, who wrote ‘Corrie juggles a busy life raising 3 fantastic children, working as a Registered Nurse at the local hospital while still finding time to volunteer for multiple organizations for kids with special needs. If anyone deserves a recognition for contributing to a better community, it’s this caring lady.’

Sierra Greentree

Pineridge Adventure Camp nominates Sierra Greentree for Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Sierra has spent two weeks of camp as support staff. She’s filled in the gaps and helped me with camp organization and discipline. As well she has taken on leading songs and campfire time. I am nominating her because she has tremendous potential for growth and is already an extremely mature leader for her age.’

Diana Campbell

Grande Prairie & District Victim Services nominates Diana Campbell for Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Diana is a compassionate and dedicated Volunteer. She has been with us for the last 6 years, and is always a Volunteer we can count on when we need her.  From On Call, to different Community events, Diana always jumps in.  Thank you Diana!’
