Think of it as a cold check — the winter equivalent of a rain check.

The City of Grande Prairie is hosting another Family Festivities in Muskoseepi Park this weekend, after being forced to cancel the first weekend because of the cold Feb. 6 and 7.

The Family Festivities in the Park, presented by New Horizon Co-op, feature tobogganing, skating, snow shoeing, free snowman kits, and more.

Pre-registration, which can be done online at cityofgp.com/events, is required for all activities in an effort to monitor group sizes and physical distancing.

One-hour time slots are available for members of the same household between 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

All events are free and registration is open for all families.

Free hot chocolate and snacks are being provided by New Horizon Co-op for participants.

All provincial health regulations including physical distancing and group sizes remain in place.

The City of Grande Prairie welcomes all families to join in on the free festivities to spend time together and enjoy the winter season.
